Semrush’s March 2026 global website estimates place Google first with 111,753,386,145 monthly visits, followed by YouTube with 54,400,907,133. The same ranking shows a wide gap between search, video, social, messaging, reference, shopping, and workplace platforms. Alongside traffic, pages per visit and bounce rate help show how people use each destination.

The 20 most visited websites
The following figures are global estimates for March 2026 from Semrush’s top websites ranking. Visits are monthly visits, while the engagement metrics are averages reported for the same period. The list is a ranking of domains, so related properties such as Yahoo.com and Yahoo.co.jp appear separately.

Google’s 111.75 billion monthly visits put it more than twice as high as YouTube’s 54.40 billion. YouTube, in turn, is well ahead of Facebook’s 10.85 billion. The ranking then becomes more closely spaced: Instagram records 7.16 billion visits, ChatGPT 6.19 billion, and Reddit 5.76 billion.
The final places in this top-20 group remain substantial. LinkedIn records 1,668,413,849 monthly visits, Xhamster records 1,619,653,755, and Microsoft Online records 1,604,110,740. These figures describe the scale of each domain during March 2026; they should not be read as a forecast or as a count of unique people.
Search and discovery platforms
Search engines occupy several positions near the top of the global ranking. Google.com is first, with 111,753,386,145 monthly visits, 5.59 pages per visit, and a 36.61% bounce rate. The reported figures indicate a very large search-and-navigation destination, with visitors viewing several pages on average during a visit.
Yahoo.com ranks 12th with 2,562,777,735 monthly visits. Its average is 4.41 pages per visit and its bounce rate is 48.31%. Yahoo.co.jp ranks 17th with 2,064,272,213 monthly visits, 6.08 pages per visit, and a 34.37% bounce rate. Because the ranking lists domains separately, these two Yahoo properties should not be combined here.
DuckDuckGo ranks 15th with 2,164,750,097 monthly visits. It reports the lowest pages-per-visit figure among the search platforms listed here at 2.59, alongside a 53.32% bounce rate. Bing ranks 16th with 2,147,585,713 monthly visits, 4.78 pages per visit, and a 40.85% bounce rate.
The contrast between DuckDuckGo and Bing is useful when reading traffic rankings. Their monthly visit estimates are close, differing by only the reported figures in the table, but their engagement metrics differ: Bing has a higher pages-per-visit average and a lower bounce rate. These are descriptive March 2026 estimates, not evidence that one search engine is better for every query or audience.
Chatgpt.com ranks fifth overall with 6,188,825,808 monthly visits. Semrush reports 3.85 pages per visit and a 39.10% bounce rate. Its position places it above Reddit, Wikipedia, and X in the global domain ranking, while its pages-per-visit figure is below each of those three properties.
Social, video, and community websites
YouTube is the second-most visited domain in the ranking, with 54,400,907,133 monthly visits. It records 9.46 pages per visit and a 29.68% bounce rate. Facebook ranks third with 10,851,770,937 monthly visits, 8.98 pages per visit, and a 44.22% bounce rate.
Instagram ranks fourth with 7,157,579,615 monthly visits. Its 9.71 pages per visit is higher than YouTube’s reported 9.46, while its bounce rate is 47.91%. TikTok ranks 14th with 2,509,299,548 monthly visits, 10.06 pages per visit, and a 50.30% bounce rate.
X ranks eighth with 4,444,306,034 monthly visits. It has the highest pages-per-visit figure in this 20-domain ranking at 10.64, together with a 43.50% bounce rate. LinkedIn ranks 18th with 1,668,413,849 monthly visits, 6.68 pages per visit, and a 37.80% bounce rate.
Community and reference destinations show another pattern. Reddit ranks sixth with 5,764,401,660 monthly visits, 3.69 pages per visit, and a 58.04% bounce rate. Wikipedia ranks seventh with 4,871,651,448 monthly visits, 3.51 pages per visit, and a 57.20% bounce rate. Both sites have high traffic but lower pages-per-visit averages than the major social and video properties above them.
The figures do not explain why a visitor leaves or how long a session lasts. A bounce-rate comparison should therefore be treated as a measurement of reported visit behavior, not as a direct measure of content quality. The same caution applies when comparing social feeds, search results, reference pages, and video pages, since their user tasks differ.
Messaging, shopping, and workplace traffic
Whatsapp.com ranks 10th globally with 3,062,894,818 monthly visits. Semrush reports 4.83 pages per visit and a 64.04% bounce rate, the highest bounce rate among the 20 domains listed. That combination illustrates why traffic volume and engagement metrics need to be read together rather than substituted for one another.
Amazon.com ranks 13th with 2,510,813,069 monthly visits. It averages 7.08 pages per visit and has a 40.77% bounce rate. The traffic estimate is nearly the same as TikTok’s 2,509,299,548 visits, but the reported engagement differs: Amazon has 7.08 pages per visit compared with TikTok’s 10.06, and a lower bounce rate of 40.77% compared with 50.30%.
Microsoftonline.com ranks 20th with 1,604,110,740 monthly visits. Its average is 2.51 pages per visit and its bounce rate is 45.40%. Among the 20 domains, that is the lowest pages-per-visit figure, narrowly below DuckDuckGo’s 2.59. The result shows that a high global ranking can reflect very large traffic even when the average visit includes relatively few pages.
The entertainment domains in the ranking also attract large audiences. Pornhub.com ranks ninth with 4,262,257,112 monthly visits, 7.70 pages per visit, and a 23.63% bounce rate. Xvideos.com ranks 11th with 2,744,247,084 monthly visits, 8.92 pages per visit, and a 23.80% bounce rate. Xhamster.com ranks 19th with 1,619,653,755 monthly visits, 7.96 pages per visit, and a 29.42% bounce rate.
Pages per visit comparison
Pages per visit varies considerably across the top 20 domains. X.com has the highest reported average at 10.64, followed by TikTok at 10.06 and Instagram at 9.71. YouTube reports 9.46, while Xvideos reports 8.92 and Facebook 8.98.
| Website | Rank | Pages per visit | Bounce rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| X.com | 8 | 10.64 | 43.50% |
| Tiktok.com | 14 | 10.06 | 50.30% |
| Instagram.com | 4 | 9.71 | 47.91% |
| YouTube.com | 2 | 9.46 | 29.68% |
| Facebook.com | 3 | 8.98 | 44.22% |
| Microsoftonline.com | 20 | 2.51 | 45.40% |
The highest and lowest reported pages-per-visit values are 10.64 for X.com and 2.51 for Microsoftonline.com. That is a difference in observed averages across very different types of websites, not a standardized engagement score. Google sits closer to the middle at 5.59 pages per visit, while ChatGPT is at 3.85, Reddit at 3.69, and Wikipedia at 3.51.
Bounce-rate differences
Bounce rates range from 23.63% on Pornhub.com to 64.04% on Whatsapp.com in the March 2026 Semrush estimates. Xvideos is close to Pornhub at 23.80%, followed by Xhamster at 29.42% and YouTube at 29.68%. Yahoo.co.jp reports 34.37%, while Google reports 36.61% and LinkedIn 37.80%.
At the higher end, Amazon’s bounce rate is 40.77%, Bing’s is 40.85%, and X’s is 43.50%. Facebook reports 44.22%, Microsoft Online 45.40%, Instagram 47.91%, and Yahoo.com 48.31%. TikTok is at 50.30%, DuckDuckGo at 53.32%, Wikipedia at 57.20%, Reddit at 58.04%, and Whatsapp at 64.04%.
These measurements put the most visited websites into a broad range rather than a single engagement pattern. Google combines the largest monthly traffic estimate with 5.59 pages per visit and a 36.61% bounce rate. YouTube has about half as many monthly visits as Google but a higher 9.46 pages per visit and a lower 29.68% bounce rate. Reading the ranking alongside these two engagement measures gives a more precise picture of how different global websites perform during the measured month.
